Stainless Steel 348H Sheets and Plates are high-carbon austenitic alloys intended for outstanding high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance. Their chemical composition consists of chromium (18–20%), nickel (8–10%), and carbon (0.8–1.2%), together with niobium for added resistance to intergranular corrosion and thermal stability. Other elements such as manganese, silicon, and trace amounts of phosphorus and sulfur add up to better toughness. The plates have tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength of around 205 MPa, and elongation of 40%. These characteristics render 348H very dependable in tough, high-temperature environments.
