Stainless Steel 410S is a low-carbon martensitic stainless steel with 11.5–13.5% chromium and up to 0.08% carbon. Its lower carbon content enhances weldability and reduces carbide precipitation hazard, but retains good strength and resistance to oxidation. The alloy shows consistent corrosion resistance and can be heat-treated for the improvement of its mechanical properties. Stainless Steel 410S shows superior high-temperature performance with durability coupled with flexibility. Its balanced composition renders it suitable for severe environments where resistance to corrosion, mechanical strength, and stability over a long period are critical.
