Stainless Steel 321 / 321H Stud Bolts consist of 17–19% chromium and 9–12% nickel and are stabilized by titanium to avoid carbide precipitation during welding. The 321H version has increased carbon (above 0.04%) for enhanced high-temperature strength. These stud bolts possess tensile strength of approximately 75 ksi, yield strength of 30 ksi, and elongation of approximately 40%. They possess high resistance to oxidation and scaling in operating temperatures up to 900°C and can be used for continuous exposure to high temperatures.
