Stainless Steel 316 Stud Bolts are produced with an austenitic stainless steel alloy of 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum. The inclusion of molybdenum strengthens resistance to crevice and pitting corrosion, particularly in chloride-containing environments. The bolts generally have tensile strength of around 75 ksi, yield strength of approximately 30 ksi, and a good elongation property. They also support their mechanical performance under high-temperature and corrosive conditions, thus being favorable for challenging applications.
