The Stainless Steel 316L Flanges are produced with a low-carbon version of 316 stainless steel, giving improved weldability and reduced carbide precipitation. The alloy has 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, which markedly enhances pitting and crevice corrosion resistance, particularly in chloride-bearing media. Major mechanical properties are tensile strength of 480 MPa, yield strength of 170 MPa, elongation of 40%, and hardness of 92 HRB.
