The AWS Class E309LT1-1/T1-4 Flux Core Wire is made up of chromium (22–24%) and nickel (12–14%), with low carbon content to reduce carbide precipitation and improve intergranular corrosion resistance. The weld metal shows impressive resistance to oxidation and scaling, even at high temperatures. Typical mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 550–650 MPa, yield strength of 300–350 MPa, and an elongation of about 30%. These wires offer excellent toughness, corrosion resistance, and strength, making them ideal for dissimilar welds and protective overlays.
