Stainless Steel 316H Bars consist of 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum with an increased carbon content (over 0.04%) compared to typical 316. This elevated carbon enhances high temperature strength and creep resistance. The bars usually provide tensile strength of about 75 ksi, yield strength of close to 30 ksi, and good elongation as well as toughness.
